Caught Out

Jack stood on his doorstep and he was now in so much trouble but he had to say something but it was the what that was troubling him.

"I saw her car outside and I know she was upset earlier but I want to just check she's okay." Jack said. He was right Sandra had been upset earlier but she was at Gerry's not for comfort but because in fact they were in a relationship. Sandra was upstairs in his bed and the fact that Gerry had opened the door in his dressing gown was easily explained by the fact that it was late and Sandra had disturbed him but the reason Sandra couldn't come and talk to him was less easily explained. Especially given the fact that she wasn't dressed and had told him to get rid of whoever was at the door quickly.
"Erm she's just in the bathroom, come in and I'll go and tell her you're here." Gerry said as Jack sat down in the living room and Gerry ran upstairs.

"Sandra you need to get dressed and get downstairs."
"I said get rid of them." Sandra sighed.
"I know and I tried but it's Jack. He saw your car outside and wants to check you are okay."
"Damn. I knew I should have ditched my car down the road like I usually so. Now what?"
"I say we tell him?"
"No we can't, not yet." Sandra told him quickly.

"Hello Jack." Sandra smiled as she walked into the room.
"Are you okay Sandra?"
"Yeah I'm fine. Gerry and me had a talk and now everything's okay. He's made me see the positives."
"Sure? I mean it's a bit late to be having a casual talk."
"Yeah well I needed someone to talk to and Gerry's closest. He was going to bed when I arrived but stayed up to talk to me. Anyway what are you doing out?"
"I was coming to check you were okay when I drove past here and saw your car."
"Ah okay, you've had a drink haven't you?"
"Yeah."
"Do you wanna lift?" Jack asked her and now Sandra had to come up with a reason as to why she had to stay with Gerry a bit longer because she wanted to spend the whole night with him.
"Erm we've just ordered a take away because I've not eaten yet."
"You can stop lying now Sandra, I knew the truth the minute I saw your car outside."
"Lying about what?" Sandra said rather too quickly.
"I've known you too long now Sandra to not know when you're lying. So would you like to tell me the truth or shall I do it for you?"
"Fine, you've got us. Me and Gerry are together. Good enough?"
"For now because it's late but I want more information tomorrow."
