My first story for Wreck-it-Ralph! I fell in love with this movie, it was just wonderful. Anyway, I saw some wonderful art on Tumblr and had to write for it. Enjoy~
Disclaimer: I do not own Wreck-it-Ralph
"Ralph! Ralph where are you?!" Felix shouted into the hallways of the salmon colored castle, trying to locate his co-worker. Ralph had taken to going to Sugar Rush every night after the arcade closed, but tonight Felix needed his help with moving some construction supplies around in their game to build new houses. Ralph knew that they were going to do that today and he still went over to Sugar Rush first.
Felix didn't mind that too much, if he could of he would have gone over and see Tamora before starting the work, but instead he had to go and find Ralph. Sour Bill had said that Ralph was with Vanellope, but he had yet to see the two.
"Gosh darn it, where could they be?" Felix wandered around, hand resting on his hammer out of habit, the only sound in the hallway being the sound of his mallet clicking against his leg. Suddenly a noise rocked the building, loud and obnoxious. It stopped for a second, the handyman breathing a sigh of relief before it started up again.
Now the handyman started to follow the noise, finally coming across a room with the door half closed, barely any light coming from the room. Now, he knew that he shouldn't enter, but by now he thought he recognized the noise. It was Ralph, snoring like he was bring down a building, the clamor being a cross between a freight train barreling down the tracks and a sugar kart gunning it down a straight stretch of course.
Felix pushed the door open just wide enough to walk inside and see Ralph and Vanellope asleep; the girl sleeping in a Hostess's shortcake, the wrecker resting his head on the edge, a large blanket covering them both. The handyman couldn't help but smile at this, the both of them conked out and peaceful.
At that moment he thought of something that Ralph had said while they were in the dungeon, trying to convince the other to fix the cart.
"I can't fix things, I only wreck them."
But Felix had seen what the girl meant to him; his first real friend since they were plugged in. A person who wasn't afraid of him, who wanted to joke and be around him and have fun. She saw him as a person, not a bad guy like so many others had for years.
"Look Ralph, your hands do more than wreck." Felix whispered as he walked out of the room, the snoring continuing as he left; his thoughts on visiting his Sargent, not worrying about building today.
"They also protect."
