Based on the most recent episode, Society of the Blind Eye. Enjoy~
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Fiddleford shouted over the noise the portal was making, it was so loud it was a miracle that no one had heard it when they started it that morning. Stanley merely grinned at his friend's concern and laughed, but that only made Fiddleford more uneasy. Stanley was a firecracker, a wildcard that you never knew what he was going to do or say, and he almost always got himself in trouble somehow. "Stanley, I don't like this. Shouldn't we let him be here? This portal thing was his idea after all." Stanley waved him off with a huffed.
"Pish posh, Fiddle, we'll be fine. Besides, what he doesn't know wont hurt him," Stanley responded offhandedly. He looked through the window at his brother. "We good to go?" Stan held up one finger and Stanley nodded, tightening the rope around his waste. "Now, remember Fiddle, five seconds. Be sure to count that mississippi." Fiddleford sighed and nodded worriedly, knowing better than to try and talk him out of it, he had already tried enough. Stan gave them a thumbs-up and Stanley grinned. "Wish me luck!"
"Good luck," Fiddleford said in a shaky voice. Stanley ran towards the portal and lept into the air, letting it suck him through. There was a strong jerk on the other end of the rope and Fiddleford held tight, digging his heels into the floor. He stared off into the portal, counting to five just like Stanley had requested. There was a soft snapping noise and Fiddleford shifted his gaze to the rope to find it slowly snapping from being pulled. His eyes widened and he started to pull him back in. From behind the glass Stan narrowed his eyes and tried to call out to him, getting Fiddleford to stop and look over at him.
"The rope! It's-"snap! The two friends watched in horror as the rope broke in half and zoomed towards the portal. "NO!" Fiddleford lept forward, trying to grab what was left of the rope, but it slipped through is fingers and went all the way through, disappearing from sight as he hit the ground from his momentum. Neither one moved as they stared into the portal. Fiddleford had half a mind to go through and try to find him but the train of thought was cut off as the portal suddenly closed. Fiddleford looked over his shoulder to see a second figure standing beside Stan, glaring down at him in disappointment. Fiddleford looked at the ground as the door opened.
"You idiot!" Stan shouted, grabbing Fiddleford from the ground and yanking him into the air violently. "That was my brother!" Fiddleford tried to shoved Stan off of him as the other man shook him, hard, tears brimming in his eyes that were glaring angrily at him. "How could you let the rope slip away like that?!"
"I-It was an accident! The rope snapped!" Stan growled and threw Fiddleford onto the ground angrily, storming away. "Stanford, I didn't mean to, I swear!" But he wasn't listening as he headed up the stairs and out of sight. The other man shook his head and headed up after Stan. Fiddleford looked down. "I'm sorry..."
