The gentle moonlight caresses my cheek, the refreshing glow overwhelming my skin. The light

cascades across the pale sky, breathing its basking essence across the world. The beauty of

Nature succumbs us all, bringing us within its warming arms. But that is only the daylight hours,

its waking consciousness of love and laughter. The night is much more comforting, it's cool

embrace welcoming even the dark of heart. It hides what we do not wish to see, converting the

ugly into splendor. The rays of moonlight will foreshadow the wisps of fog as they curl and dance with the rain. The howls of the night creatures echo upon the wind, sending undo chill to those who dwell only during the day. The night, she beckons me, her colder arms giving far more comfort than that of the maiden light. Her nails, they bite me, only to show how the darkness will linger, will taint me during my waking warmth. Every morning I rise to the sun, but the moon she lingers behind the clouds. She reminds me that when the light is gone, she will come for me...

Dragging me into the darkness within.
