This is just a small one-shot, really. No real use for it and there's no real plot.
Pairing: Jasper Whitlock & Isabella Swan.
"I hate you."
The words rang in the air, seeming to pierce through her ears.
Isabella's heart was beating so hard it felt as if it were to jump out of her chest any moment. Her hands were clenched and her teeth were bared, glaring at the older woman in front of her.
"Bella, sweetheart, you don't mean that. I-"
"I fucking know what I feel, mother," Isabella spat out the word, "And I sure as hell don't love you."
Bella wished she had the guts to say this.
"Calm down, darling." A voice told her. Bella turned around and looked over her shoulder. She had thought she would be the only one at the playground since it was raining, the thick clouds dimming the sunlight.
"And you are?" She asked. A figure moved out of the large tree's way and revealed itself as a tall built structure with blond hair on his head, a charming smile at his lips. Bella pursed her lips at the look of his red eyes.
"You still haven't told me your name." She said. He smiled and stared at the yellow swing aside of hers.
"May I?" He asked. Bella nodded and waved her hand towards it. He sat and began swaying the swing back and forth at Bella's slow alacrity.
"So?" She asked. He raised an eyebrow but didn't comment on her persuasion.
"Jasper Whitlock at your service, ma'am." He said while grinning. Bella flinched at his flawless white teeth and nodded.
"Isabella Swan." She replied. He smiled and stared into the sky, the drops of water striking his nose and seeming to run from hitting his eyes.
"So, Isabella, would you like to tell me what you're doing here in the cold alone?" He asked.
"I could say the same for you."
He shook his head. "I'm not the one crying."
"I am not!" She argued. He laughed slightly.
"You have tears on your face."
"They're raindrops."
"That doesn't excuse your bloodshot eyes, ma'am."
Bella didn't respond and instead began swinging further into the air, clutching her sweater to herself. Jasper followed her lead and made sure he was at the same speed. They didn't comment anymore and just threw their legs forward at the same time when the swing advanced, and back as they let gravity take over.
"I just don't know what to assume anymore." Bella said with a sigh and placed her feet in the sand, letting them drag and the dirt fill her sneakers, making the swing take an abrupt halt. Jasper did the same and stared at her expectedly.
"Maybe you just need to expect the unexpected." He said with a smile playing across his red lips. Bella looked up and gazed at him.
"That's where the problem is."
"How so?" He asked, seeming genuinely interested. Bella shrugged.
"Simple. What is there to expect?" She asked. Bella didn't mention anything as she felt Jasper move and the seat beside her empty.
"Simple question with an even simpler answer, Isabella," She heard Jasper voice behind her leaning into her ear. She shivered as she felt cold fingers pull her hair back.
"Yeah?" She breathed. Jasper smiled against her neck before slowly digging her razor sharp teeth into her neck.
Bella woke up from her nightmare panting and , of course, Edward was there. He whispered words of comfort into her ear and told her to calm down, that it was just a dream. Then why did Bella feel like it was a real memory coming back for her?
