A/N: I do not own Ouran High School Host Club, the pure genius of that goes to Bisco Hatori.

Mori couldn't stand it, the way her hair just carefully drifited over her eyes, the way how when she would smile at him she gave him the perfect smile that was as big as her eyes and would make any guy, even Tamaki faint. But that one smile was only for Mori, he had noticed this a little over a week she had started smiling at him like that. He would observe her from far behind watching her lips, as she talked to the other hosts, trying to see any indication of the smile she always gave him, he didn't see it, not once on her perfect, flawless lips. Even when she talked to Honey, she still didn't use the smile that was only ment for that one person; Mori and Mori alone.

He didn't understand, as he watched her from one of the expensive red velvet couches.

"Why would Haruhi have a smile that's only meant for me?"

He had carefully pondered this thought in his head over and over again until he couldn't stand it anymore and had decided to make a list mentally in his head of all the reasons why Haruhi had that one special adorable smile just for him.

1. She's in love with me, and the smile is screaming "I love you", but I'm not hearing it.

2. She thinks I need a warm, comforting smile after spending the entire day with Honey and the Host Club.

3. She's thanking me for all the times I had saved her from her clumsiness, Tamaki, and the twins.

4. She's saying shes gonna miss me when I graduate and that one smile is her graduation present for me.

"I'm delirious... There's no way Haruhi is in love with me so why did I even put that as a reason. Even if I do feel that way about her, that one smile can't be saying "I love you."

Mori was all at lost in his own little world that he had no idea that she was sitting next to him shaking his arm asking him if he was alright because he had spaced out for 5 minutes. Everyone else had left except Honey, who was finishing up his last cake, grinning in between bites. He looked down at her, her eyes filled with worry, he knew what the smile meant now. He took her hand and held it like it was a glass rose, afraid that if he let go it was fall and shatter into a million piece and all the love Haruhi had for him would be gone. Still looking down into her worry-filled eyes, he gave her the smile he decided to dedicate just for Haruhi and Haruhi alone. She smiled the smile, hissmile, the one no one else had but him. Even though he gave her her smile her eyes still held a little bit of worry in them, he wanted to make that worry go away, he couldn't bear to see the worry in her eyes, even though it was just a very little. He wanted to prove that he was OK, wanted to prove that he loved her also. He asked to walk her home, she gladly accepted his offer; happiness flooded all the worry in her eyes out. Hunny with an even bigger grin now, finished up his cake and left. It was only Mori and Haruhi now, but they left soon after Honey did.

They walked through the park, Mori holding Haruhi's hand, fingers intertwined. He wanted her to feel protected; that no matter what, he would always be there to protect her. Mori had stopped once they reached the cherry blossoms, peatles flying everywhere, getting into everything. That last motion of Mori cause Haruhi to fall back, she was afraid Mori was going to let go of her hand and she was going to hit the pavement below. She was wrong. Mori's grip on her hand tightened as he pulled her into his chest, holding her. She gave him, his smile again. Still against his chest, he leaned down ever so slowly, ever so slightly he kissed her cheek, and ever so silently he whispered in her ear, "I love you too."
