Rory's POV
What was I thinking? How could I tell him no! I still love him and he seems to have really changed. Maybe things can work this time?
Running quickly outside of her soon to be ex-dormroom I see Jess just about to walk out the hallway door.
"Jess wait!"
Jess stops and turns around, the hurt from my earlier rejection written clearly across his face.
"I lied."
Jess still stands facing her motionless.
Common Jess figure it out!
Taking a deep breathe and smiling shyly I say, "So Dodger, I hear New York is a good place to spend the summer."
If the uncharacteristically large grin that spreads across his face right now isn't a dead give away that he got the message then I don't know what is.
Slowly he walks back up to me and gives me such an intense look I could swear my knees were made of jello. It was then that he kissed me. I'd forgotten how much I had enjoyed his kisses.
Maybe things really will be what they should have been the first time around. One can always hope.
