(A/N: AWHIEO is actually part 3 of a series I've been working on for a while..This is part 1 and part 2 will be up sometime)

Summary: A ten year old Laila sits on the roof of the foot clan building and remembers a time she spent with her siblings…

(includes flashbacks of when Laila was younger)

"Daddy, please?" Currently a six year old Laila was begging her father to allow her to explore the city. The reason she was so excited was because it was gonna be her first time going outside of the foot clan building, that is, if her father would let her.

"Only if Karai will supervise you." Laila glanced at the older female, who was also her older sister, in the room and all she did was nod. Laila beamed and ran over to Karai, giving her a hug. Karai simply told her foot ninja to grab her weapons.

"We'll leave in twenty minutes."

Laila scoffed and cracked a smile at how excited she was. Her first time out of the building and into the real world..the first time to put her skills to the test. Karai wasn't the only sibling that she had that she loved spending time with. She also had her big brother who was always in his lab, but still let her in to help him out.

"Oniichan, He's so cute." Laila pet the fluffed-up bunny in the cage in front of her.

"He was supposed to be for our expriments but the injections we gave him forced him to look like that..so we're using non-mutated turtles instead." Laila took a glance at the tank on the table to notice four non-mutated turtles. Deciding they weren't important, she turned back to the bunny in the cage.

"So what are you gonna do with him?"

"I have no idea as a matter of fact."

"Well, can I have him?"

"Sure.." Laila smiled and pet the bunny.

"I'll name you Usagi."

A smile came to Laila's face...her family was a household of clashing personalities, there was Shredder's strict seriousness, Sack's curious personality, Karai's honor bound, and Laila was the smartass..and yet, they haven't killed each other yet. Hearing the door open on the roof behind her, she turned around to notice Karai there.

"Laila, father wants you." Laila nodded and tightened her mask before heading into the building, knowing she'd never give up her family for the world...no matter what happened.
