University Auditory

Large, clean and slightly darkened auditorium is completely filled with students and teachers. There is no other light sources except windows. Teachers sit in the front rows. Many are holding electronic notebooks in which one can make records with a special stylus.
On sofa, at a small coffee table, sits an OLD MAN (about 70). He is dressed in simple old sweater and gray pants. It makes the impression of a poor pensioner from the suburbs. Next to him is his cane, which he is holding. On the hand, a little finger is missing and an old scar on the outer side of the wrist is visible. The cane has the inscription: "To The Real Leader From The Real Friend".
OLD MAN: "Well, what can I say? When I was a kid, I wasn't like everybody else. Other kids had a family, they were going to school, meeting with friends, they were doing what normal people do. But it wasn't me you know... I was a lone kid, that's how I prefer to call it."
STUDENT #1: "But I heard that you were living with foster parents for a long time."
- Yes, I did, not long but some. It was a time to remember. It's when my, if I may so, "childhood" ended. Even now I often think about those days.
- What do you think, please tell. We are really wanna know.
- You are really wanna know. Ok. Mostly, I'm trying to compare my life before and after. What's it would be if I wasn't who I was. When I was 12 years old, all I wanted was my motorcycle and video games. I didn't think about a real life. I was just imagining. Yep, I wasn't really bright.
- And now... what do you prefer better - the before or the after?
- Oh, that is a hell of a question. Do I know? I cannot know that. All I can is imagine what would that be. Do you see the difference between knowing things and imagining them?
STUDENT #1 and some others in the room: "Yes, clearly."
OLD MAN: "I'm was also so sure a bit later, when I was about 16. I have already met my destiny. I was sure that I can see the difference, until I met one person. And that has changed everything again..."

Gas Station - day

JOHN: "It's alright, I get it. You needed to get close to me. It's just the way you're... programmed."
CAMERON: "In the future you have many friends."
- What model are you? Are you new? You seem... different.
- I am.

University Auditory

STUDENT #1: "So, do you know the difference now?"
OLD MAN: "Now, when I'm sitting here, I can tell to myself and everyone of you that the difference between knowing and imagining is just the time."

Baum's house - balcony

JOHN: "Was it you? Did you kill her?"
CaMERON: "What if I did?"
- Don't play games with me. I need the truth.
- I didn't kill her.
- I wanna believe you.
- I am sorry.
- You're sorry? For what?
- For your loss.

University Auditory

OLD MAN: "Time is a difference between all events in the world."

Hotel Room

DEREK: "That watch. It has complications. Something I learned. Something I've been thinking about."
JOHN: "Complications?"
- Yeah. Time. The future.
- What do they think of me?

University Auditory

OLD MAN: "And you need to learn how to use it. How to find the right time to do the right thing."

Zeira Corp - Basement

WEAVER: "He didn't take the chip. She gave it to him."
JOHN: "Where is he?"
- Not where. When.
SARAH: "John, we can't."
- He's got her chip. He's got her.

STUDENT #1: "I'm not sure I'm following, sir."
OLD MAN: "I wasn't sure either, I didn't know it before I already, let's say, "walked" into the war. And this is the story I came here to tell you..."
