Pain, there was nothing but it. It ripped through me like a hurricane bent on destruction. Trembling hands reached up to cup my aching throat. I pulled them back only to be met by the sight of the red liquid that coated them. Blood, my blood. I looked up for the golden eyes I loved so much. Instead they were replaced by a deep and emotionless black. A bloodcurdling scream erupted from me as the pain fought it's way though me once more. I crawled into a small ball, crying desperately. Crying out to every god I knew of to just take the pain away.
'Jesus, Allah, Budda fucking Santa Claus HELP ME!!' My plea was met with only silence as another spasm rocked my body. I could feel my body changing, I was dying. My eyes searched once more for the man I loved, in his place stood the monster he feared to become. A slow crooked smile etched his face oh and how my heart ached for him to just hold me again.
One final scream erupted from me as I felt my limbs go limp and I faintly recalled the dull thump of my head hitting the concrete floor. Strong arms encircled me and I moved towards the body carrying me. A low chuckle came from him, sending vibrations throughout my body. It was then that I felt it, my heart beat one more time before there was only silence.
I must have past out because when I woke up I was lying in a room that I did not recognize. Red, silk sheets slid around my figure like water. The feeling sent shivers through me as it felt like heaven on earth. The previous nights events flooded through me and a shocked gasp left my lips. I raced over to the mirror standing proudly on the opposite of the room and almost fainted.
It was not the face I recalled that stared back at me, rather someone else. My skin had always been pale but now it took on an almost translucent quality. Eyes that once held the colour of the sea after a fierce storm were black and hungry. Around me sounds and smells screamed out at me. My heighted senses disoriented me. So much so that I did not hear him walk up behind me. His strong arm cradled my small waist towards him and he sucked lightly on the pressure point on my neck. If I'd now possessed the ability to blush I was sure that I would have been ten shades redder by now. When he spoke it came out like a soft caress on my skin, smooth like velvet and held the ability to weakened my knees in an instant. "Welcome to the family my love." He spoke and I felt like I wanted nothing more then to stay in this moment for the rest of time.
