Hey! So the plot bunnies ambushed me and forced me to write this so here you go! Sakura forever!

She wanted to be like them so much it hurt. She wanted to be considered strong, but she wasn't, she was simply above average. she had nearly perfect chakra control but it didn't matter because Naruto had the nine-tails and Sasuke was the last Uchiha. She had unlocked the 100 healing mark, but it didn't matter because Naruto was stronger then anyone and was winning the war, Sasuke had come to help the village and everyone forgot about her. No matter how hard she trained she was still only above average, a little exceptional, Kakashi still favored the boys, Tsunade had other work to do beside train her. Sasuke and Naruto still thought of her as inferior to them, like she was the one who needed protecting.
And she knew she was being selfish, hell she wanted to be selfish. She wanted for once for everyone to look at her and be amazed, she wanted Tsunade to say, "Thats my student" she wanted the village to be proud of her, but most of all she wanted Sasuke, and Naruto to look at her with respect and acknowledge her strength. And right now she wanted nothing more then to leave her post and run to the front lines and help them save the village, but as she well knows a medic can not abandon btheir post the medic can not die because then they wouldn't be able to help, and Sakura can not break, because she liked to think that if she broke then so would everyone else.
She hoped, no mater how selfish or mean it was, that if she died they would break, that she was the one holding them together. Because it would mean that they cared about her. But she knew in the back of her mind that they would be fine, it would just be another comrades death to grieve for and move on. Naruto and Sasuke would be fine, Kakashi would still have his prodigies, Tsunade would still have her alcohol, and her friends would still have their lives and loves to go back to.
So when Sasuke and Naruto jumped at each other attacks ready in their hands she thought nothing about throwing herself in between them. It seemed so much like years ago on that hospital rooftop, accept this time she would save them from each other or die trying. Just as they were about to hit each other with their attacks Sakura threw herself in between them and both attacks hit her square on, Naruto pulled back immediately in shock and pure horror at what he had done, Sasuke just looked shocked, she looked down at him and coughed on blood, "Please don't fight." She laughed bitterly, stopping to spit out blood, "I'm so pathetic, begging you here, but even if I am pathetic and even if you don't give a rats ass about me or my feelings please, just don't fight, you-" she stopped coughing more blood out of her now punctured lungs "You and Naruto will find a way, you always do," she smiled and Sasuke couldn't help but think it was one of the fakest smiles he had ever seen, "You'll both be fine without me, you always have been, I've just been getting in the way and messing things up. But I guess thats what I do," she smiled again, his time a little more real, "But at least I could save you. ''Naruto, Hinata really likes you and she's cute, smart and kind, so don't screw it up!"'' she coughed and hacked out more blood, then she smiled again and said,''Sasuke-kun, I just want you to know that I have always truly loved you" "I hope maybe someday we'll meet again, Naruto, Sasuke, but for now I'll have to say goodbye'' she smiled a full on Sakura smiled as a tear slipped down her cheek, then she closed her eye for the last time, and was gone.
