Ryou mentally checked off everything he has for his short trip across town. It was only a grocery trip but he never wanted to be in the situation of forgetting his money at home and having to explain the situation to an uncaring cashier like he had observed done by too many people. The teen reached into his pocket to grab his cell to double check that he is leaving at the right time but comes out empty handed.
No big deal. He thought to himself. I probably left it in the bedroom.
However when Ryou reached the bedroom, the phone wasn't there either.
Maybe the living room?
When the phone wasn't in that room, Ryou started to get irritated. He was a clean person so it wasn't like there was a mess it could hide in. The teen sighed and began to pick things apart, thinking the item might have fallen while he was sitting. He even searched the fridge though he doubted it would be there.
While searching the house, Ryou started to regret ever changing his primary clock from a wristwatch to a cell phone. The only reason he had was because back when he and Bakura shared a body, his wristwatches always ended up broken. Bakura said they interfered with his plans and after an event that ended up with a watch tangled in their hair, Bakura had threatened that he would cut off the appendage that any watch was secured to.
Ryou didn't particularly believe the threat since Bakura needed the hand but he was sure the ancient Egyptian would do something to make sure that his host never wore a watch again so the next day, Ryou had gone out and bought a phone for the sole purpose as using as a portable clock. He didn't have many people that phoned him but for the few that did, they could also now get in touch with him anywhere.
He had checked every inch of his apartment and Ryou tried to fight back the anger that was boiling up within. It wasn't like the phone had its own willpower. He was standing in the middle of the living room thinking about the last place he remembered having the phone when Bakura, who now possessed his own body, walked through the door.
"That idiot can't handle strength." Bakura talked into an electronic Ryou clearly recognized as his own. The inhabitant of the Millennium Ring peered around the room. It was a mess and in the middle of the catastrophe was one Ryou Bakura glaring at the former spirit. "What the hell happened here?"
Ryou walked up to Bakura with the same angry expression and boldly grabbed the phone from Bakura, hung up on the person he suspected to be Malik, no one else would phone the thief, and grabbed his coat. He didn't say anything else in an angry silence.
"Wait, where are you going?" Bakura asks slightly taken back by this attitude.
"To buy a wristwatch." Ryou replies before walking out of sight.
A/N: Something I kind of threw together to calm the frustration of losing my own phone. At least Ryou got his back. I hope I have the same fate. Anyway, reviews are always welcome and I hope your day was better than mine :)
