Mark was desperate. His friend had revealed primordial information, and now, he knew he would die. He closed his eyes. At least, Saint Dane hadn't recognized him yet. Still, there was no hope anymore. Mark needed a good reason to stand up and try to find a way to escape. He felt like it was the end. Opening his eyes again, he saw Saint-Dane and Nevva talking, but all he could hear was indistinct noise. Suddenly, the evil guy stopped talking and looked around, as if he had felt something unusual. Mark, curious, listened, but there was no weird sound or anything like that. No, it was more like a presence. His heart was beating wildly against his ribcage. What was happening? Saint-Dane looked on the verge of a panic-attack and Nevva looked deeply worried. Just as Mark was going to say something, he heard a voice, one that he never tought he would hear again:

- Man, that suit is just wicked cool!

Saint-Dane spun around to see who was addressing him in such a manner. Mark already knew who it was. There were no other people who could be sarcastic like that with the most evil guy on Halla.

It was Robert Pendragon.

Yeah, Bobby was back.

-Hi, Nevva, the lead Traveler continued, you guys get your hair done at the same place? Cute. Love the outfit too. You've got a kinda retro, sixties Star Trek thing going on.

Mark was laughing. Hard. It seemed like it had been years since he hadn't felt good like this. An enormous weight lifted from his shoulder. Bobby was here. Everything would be alright. Mark lifted up his head and saw his best friend walking down the hallway. But… there was something off. Bobby hadn't changed at all. He looked exactly the same as the last time he saw him. It was weird, but Mark realized that Bobby was a Traveler and that Time doesn't affect Travelers in the same way as others. It was strange. But hey, it was Bobby.

The two enemies talked for a minute. It didn't seem that Bobby had recognized him yet. So when his best friend walked by and said that he had nothing to lose, Mark thought: "not anymore".

Their eyes met. Bobby's eyes went wide. Mark smiled a little and whispered:

-About time you showed up.

And that was it. The battle could begin.
