AN: I was listening to NPR and bemoaning my writer's block when they made a joke about Barbie. Sometimes inspiration comes in the strangest ways. This is meant to be a lighthearted humour piece. Please, don't take it seriously.

"Math is hard." said Barbie, pouting slightly. She had been working on these same exact problems all day."

"Don't worry." Barbie felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around and looked up into piercing, dark blue eyes. It was her friend, Theoretical Physicist Barbie!

"I'll help you, "said the taller doll. Her husky tone made Barbie quiver and left her spine feeling like it had just been hit by cold water.

"Tonight?" Barbie asked, hoping her voice didn't betray her too much.

"Tonight." agreed Theoretical Physicist Barbie, flashing a bright grin. What did it mean? Barbie wondered.

Later that night, Barbie heard her doorbell ring and she ran for the door. "You came!" she said to her friend in the other side of the door. "Of course I came. Did you think I wouldn't?" asked Theoretical Physicist Barbie.

"I was just worried. I really need your help with these questions," said Barbie.

"Okay. Let's have a look at them, shall we?" Barbie got out her workbook and sat down at her desk. Her companion steeped in behind her to get a closer look, her arms were around Barbie's back and her head gently brushed Barbie's shoulder.

Something funny happened then; Barbie felt herself blushing and something flipped in her stomach. What was going on?

"Two plus is?" asked Theoretical Physicist Barbie.

Barbie had to shake her head to get her mind back on track. Blinking, she realized she couldn't think of the answer. That was strange, she knew *this* one!

"I don't know," she blurted out suddenly. She felt Theoretical Physicist Barbie straighten up. What was going on?

"Maybe we should move away from the desk for a minute." Theoretical Physicist Barbie suggested. Barbie didn't know what good that would do but her friend was the smart so she followed her lead.

"Now," Theoretical Physicist Barbie said once she was standing in front of Barbie. She paused then and rubbed Barbie's cheek a little. It felt nice soo Babie didn't mind. "Two plus two is four." Theoretical Physicist Barbie said in a low tone that Barbie didn't quite know why she was using. She then rubbed Barbie's check twice more to demonstrate the problem.

"Three plus three is six." She continued. And then something funny happened, She kissed Barbie three times on the cheek! "Do you understand?" she asked, roughly and through the haze of warmth and good feelings Barbie thought she did.

"I do." Barbie answered in a similar tone. "So," she asked, drawing out the vowel sound, if two plus two is four and three plus three is six, does that mean that four plus four is eight?" She then proceeded to answer her own question by standing on her tiptoes and giving Theoretical Physicist Barbie four, long hot kisses on the lips.

After that the evening went from a math tutoring session to a tutoring session of another kind entirely. "So," Barbie chirruped when it came time for Theoretical Physicist Barbie to go home, "will you come and help me with my math again sometime?"

"Y-yes." Her friend stuttered shyly, which Barbie found adorable given what they'd been doing just a few minutes.

"Good," she answered. Lowering her tone to one matching Theoretical Physicist Barbie she added, "Next week, we're starting multiplication."
