Darkest sunlight
The faint, constant heat that splashes up to her face woke Fei up from her deep sleep. As it registered to her mind that her indestructible prison was actually being eaten away by the raging fire, her only goal was to escape. The days of tears, rage, and agony will be over at last. She made a grab for her gun and shot the door lock. Her feet carried her through the collapsing tower and all around her, the screeching alarm was the cheers that encouraged her to move her heavy legs closer to freedom… But Fei memories of the way out carried her yet deeper into confinement, and the blazing fire coolly makes its way toward her. With all the weapon that she had been trained to use to protect herself, Fei realized that fire cannot be kill by a bullet or any other kind of weapon. Only water can extinguish it. And while Fei waited for her turn to be consumed by the heat, she wished that she had been born an unfeeling fire instead of the weak creature that she grew up to be.
