Author's Note-
Here I am on a Saturday night, typing away. Well, welcome to my life. I do write poems on my homework when I don't want to listen to the teacher, then I had an idea for a poem. I love Warriors, and decided to write a little poem about how the warriors are and live. If it's crappy, suck it up. Just, take a little bit of time to read what I've written. I do it for you guys, so just do it for me. Sorry, I don't know where that came from.
"God loved the birds and invented trees. Man loved the birds and invented cages."
Jacques Deval
Deep within the shadows and trees
Lie animals, who are always free
They are bound together
Never leaving forever
Deep within the madness and hate
Lie hearts who don't know their fate
They must continue on
Not knowing when it's their final dawn
Deep within the betrayers and dark
Cats scratch their claws on the bark
Marking what belongs to them
And what they must defend
Deep within the new and old
Lie stories forever untold
And secrets unshared
And loyalties that aren't fair
Deep within the battles and cries
You listen for the lies
Of the evil and traitors
Not knowing what lies in the heather
Deep within the branches and leaves
Lies friendships that weave
Through the time and space
Never forgetting their place
Deep within the leaders and rules
Cats are sometimes made fools
But are still looked upon
With still a loving fond
Deep within the magic and love
Hearts fly like doves
And the stregnths are on test
To see which is the best
Deep within the claws and teeth
Cats run around with their feet
Waiting for orders to be made
And for the heat to start the day
Deep within the rules and death
There is a code which tests the best
And legends are made
From the faded
Deep within the shadows and trees
Lie animals who are always free
And live life like it was meant to be
Free from you and me
Author's Note-
I'm not crazy, let me explain. It is saying how deep within the forest lie cats who have their own lives and are free and show us what it means to be alive. The last verse, 'Free from you and me' is saying how they are warriors. Not kittypets and belong in the wild. Just R&R please and tell me how you thought of my little poem.
