AU of the talk at 8x01 where Jon defends his actions to Sansa like the wolf/dragon that he IS and the KING he is.
So far the season has been fantastic with SOME hiccups, but this was my personal issue with this as I feel Jon should have a BIT more backbone being the King and all as well as the maybe 'hero' of the series.
One Shot again
Ever since he returned from the South, Jon had been worried over how his sister would react. At first he was overjoyed to see Arya as well as Bran to be among the living. But he saw Sansa's reaction to Daenerys. He knew then and there she didn't trust the Dragon Queen, but he figured she would understand that they needed her forces and dragons to fight the dead.
And she was worried over politics.
"Did you bend the knee to save the North, or because you love her?"
At THAT question, Jon stared at his sister agape...and he felt something turn to ice.
"Do you wield a sword sister?"
Sansa stopped, not expecting that question "of course n-"
"Do you bleed on the battlefield? Did you see the dead in all it's unholy glory? Did you see the Night King himself raising people dead for only minutes before?!" Jon roared, slamming his fists on the table.
Sansa's eyes narrowed "you haven't answered my question."
Jon said "because I do not need to. You said that I was a Stark, and these people made me their King. Yes perhaps I care for her, but if you actually saw the dead you would look for as many forces as we can. I do not expect you to like her, but the fact is the North CAN'T stand against the White Walkers alone. Not WANT to, CAN'T. The dead are on there way and yet you squabble and bicker like children over a scrap of meat and for a fucking chair."
Sansa snapped back "these people tru-"
Jon interrupted "DO NOT BRING UP THE PEOPLE! Now let me ask YOU a question Sansa...are you upset with Daenerys Targareyan because I bent the knee to her or because in the end, SHE will be the QUEEN and not you as you wanted to be when we were only babes?"
*CRACK*
Jon just barely grabbed the hand before it slapped him...Sansa shaking with emotion...eyes filled with fire and ice.
The two stared at each other...then Jon said coldly "what's done is done, I've already bent. DO NOT dare question my honor or my emotions...everything I have done has been for the betterment of the North. She saved my life North of the wall at the cost of one of her dragons, I owed her my life."
Sansa blinked, not having expected that.
"The matter is closed Sansa."
Sansa tried to argue, but the look in Jon's eyes scared her, warning her not to push it.
After a moment, The Lady of Winterfell just curtsied with the courtesy of a Lady "My Lord."
And the she wolf marched out...leaving Jon staring after her, shaking his head.
Hoping that his sister would come around.
Yeah this was a little rough, but I simply wanted to have Jon have a BIT more backbone and spine then in the scene. And calling out his OWN question if there is a part of Sansa that still desperately/hungrily wishes to be The Queen as when she was a girl. She should not be undermining Jon as she should trust his instincts as again, they CANNOT fight against the dead alone. Period. There is no Lannister/Stark/Targareyan/North/South there are only TWO sides.
Living and Dead
Anyone who undermines it for a fucking chair as well as for politics is a traitor to Humanity itself.
