She Thinks She Nees Me
Chapter One: How Did This Happen?

Draco held onto Hermione's waist tightly, swinging her around on the dance floor. Hermione laughed heartily and swung her head around, flinging her wavy brown hair in every direction. Draco couldn't help but laugh as he caught a whiff of her strawberry shampoo. Hermione's gazed up at him with her bright hazel eyes.
She thinks I walk on water
She thinks I hung the moon She tells me every morning,
"They just don't make men like you"
How had it turned out like this? Why was he here, their last night at Hogwarts, with Hermione in his arms? If anyone had told him that this was who he would be dancing with for his very last dance at Hogwarts, he would've walked away laughing hysterically. No, scratch that. He would've beat them bloody, then he would've walked away laughing hysterically. His attention was drawn back to the woman in his arms. He smiled down at her, holding her close to him protectively.
She thinks I've got it together
She swears I'm as tough as nails
But I don't have the heart to tell her
She don't know me that well
She was the only reason he got up everyday. She was his candle in the darkness. She was his life. Yet, she thought that she needed him. It was the exact opposite. He didn't know what he would do if she was taken away from him.
She don't know how much I need her
She don't know I'd fall apart
Without her kiss, without her touch
Without her faithful, loving arms
She don't know that it's all about her
She don't know I can't live without her
She's my world, she's my everything
And she thinks she needs me
Draco remembered the day before this. Hermione was a wreck. She had told her 'friends' who she was planning on going to the Graduation Ball with, and they had told her off and left her crying in the head's common room. It had taken hours before he could finally convince her to come.
Sometimes she cries on my shoulder
When she's lying next to me
But she don't know that when I hold her
That she's really holding me, holding me
Hermione squeezed his hand, shaking him out of his reverie. She smiled weakly at him and glanced over his shoulder. As they danced, he eventually came to see what she was looking at.
She don't know how much I need her
She don't know I'd fall apart Without her kiss, without her touch
Without her faithful, loving arms
She don't know that it's all about her
She don't know I can't live without her
She's my world, she's my everything
And she thinks she needs me
Harry and Ron sat at a table with two girls (Draco noted that neither were quite as pretty as the woman in his arms), glaring at Hermione and himself. Draco caught their eye and smirked at them. Hermione slapped his shoulder playfully. He once again found himself wondering how this year had turned out this way. Draco was once again drawn in to a daydream, a walk down memory lane. He remembered the day they first saw each other after the long summer, months ago…
She thinks I walk on water
She thinks I hung the moon....
