A/N: As promised, I wrote the sequel to The Truth Comes Out! I'm sorry this took me so long… It seems like every time I start writing a story my life becomes really busy, just out of nowhere. I hope you like it. It starts about a month after the previous story, which is what I thought is close to how long it took for the building to be fixed… correct me if I'm wrong. And I'm sorry in advance for the lack of movie references… I don't know that many movies, actually, so I won't be able to make as many references as Tony usually would. Sorry… Again, thanks to Kesterpan for her help! And thank you to my readers of the first story. I probably wouldn't have written a sequel if I hadn't gotten such an outpouring of support from you.
Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN NCIS
Chapter 1
The team had been back in the building for about half a day before they realized that something was very different about Gibbs. He seemed much happier, and didn't blow up at people as much. He and Tony were also shooting each other strange glances across the bullpen, and seemed closer somehow.
Of course, there was a very logical reason for this: they had been dating in secret for a month. They didn't plan to tell the team any time soon, however.
Ziva and McGee had been secretly speculating about what had brought about this change. They instant messaged from their computers on opposite sides of the bullpen, but neither of them was likely to guess the reason.
Gibbs looked up from the cold case file to see Tony watching him. "DiNozzo. Elevator. Now," he said, standing up.
The moment they left, McGee walked over to Ziva's desk and they began whispering furiously.
Meanwhile, Gibbs had stopped the elevator. He looked into Tony's brown eyes and sighed heavily. "Do you think they'll guess?" he asked.
"That their very straight male boss and their very straight male coworker are dating? I don't know, maybe?" Tony joked. Gibbs smiled slightly and kissed him lightly on the lips.
Tony groaned. "Jeth, you can't do that. Not at work, if we're going to continue hiding our relationship. That's the second time today."
Gibbs sighed. "You're right." He flicked the switch and turned the elevator back on.
"You know, one day you're gonna break the elevator," Tony joked as they walked back to the bullpen. His partner smiled and laughed slightly. Then Tony leaned in closer. "If they guess something about you having a fifth wife, should we tell them? I don't think I'll be able to keep a straight face," he whispered.
Gibbs laughed and shrugged. "Let me handle their guesses. You just sit there."
As soon as they sat down, Tony buried his nose in the nearest cold case file. Ziva sidled up to his desk. "What did you talk about?" she asked. Tony shrugged. Ziva tried a few more times, then gave up and walked over to Gibbs' desk. Gibbs spent the next half hour fielding her questions while pretending to be really interested in a cold case file.
Finally, he snapped. "Ziva, get back to work," he growled dangerously. Ziva obliged, but not without some hesitation.
Suddenly, the phone on Gibbs' desk rang. He picked it up. "Gibbs." He listened for a moment, then hung up.
"Let's go. We have a case."
