A/N: This is my last Terqua collection before I stop writing fanfics and start working on my original book. I hope that this is what happens in KH3, because it would be a perfect timing and I've written so many fanfics about this couple that they're pretty much canon in my head. XD Enjoy. :)
Disclaimer: The cover for this fanfiction was made by the lovely luckcharm, based on a Terqua fanfic of mine that took place in Wonderland. Be sure to check out her stuff; she's simply amazing! :D
Aqua felt like crying from relief the moment that Terra came to and she encountered his beautiful, trademark cobalt-blue eyes instead of a pair of scary smoldering ember ones staring up at her. It meant that all was well after all these years. Terra was back.
Every choice she had made was more than worth it as soon as he opened his mouth and the first thing he said was, "Aqua?"
Terra sat up slowly, his eyes never leaving hers. The bluenette could no longer contain herself. Without second thought, she threw herself in the brunet teen's arms. However, as soon as she realized what she was doing, she backed away at once.
"I-I'm sorry!" she started, desperately looking for words to explain her odd behavior.
This was it. She had to tell her childhood friend how she felt about him; she had nearly lost him and couldn't risk losing him again without him ever knowing that she loved him more than anyone in the worlds. Heck, she'd never thought that she would have a chance to do this in the first place!
To her surprise, Aqua suddenly found herself struggling for words. Because let's face it, how was she supposed to do this with Sora and the other wielders of the Light watching them? And what if the feelings weren't mutual? After all, not once had he hinted that he wanted something more.
"I uh..."
If he didn't feel the same, and that was very likely, then that meant that she had ruined a friendship. Things would never be the same between them if she confessed and it backfired...
"Yes?" Terra said, patiently.
She sighed, shaking her head. I can't do this. It's too late...
Aqua had practised this very moment in her head, multiple times. And yet, now that the moment was there, she had grown numb.
Terra, however, had to grin for some reason. He took the initiative by closing the gap between them for a kiss. When they broke away again, all the blue-haired Keyblade Master could do was stare at Terra, completely awestruck.
Terra chuckled when he caught that look on her face. "I know. I love you too."
Aqua's eyes widened. "What? How did you...?"
"Oh come on, Aqua. Why else would you sacrifice your armor and your life for me? I've been meaning to ask you out as soon as I'd become a master myself, but... Things didn't exactly go as planned."
Aqua smiled at that. He had a point. Of course he'd know; she could be such an open book sometimes.
"Plus, I read your diary the night before the Mark of Mastery Exam," he added, with an evil glint in his eyes.
"Excuse me?!"
A/N: By the way, in case you're looking for more Terqua stuff or just Aqua-centered pieces, I just started the collection 'Extraordinarily Unexpected', which will have plenty of Terra/Aqua/Ventus moments. :)
