-Chapter One-

Gregor got out of bed and went into the kitchen. He poured himself a bowl of corn flakes toasted a pop tart. He waited about a minute before it popped out. The little morsel of deliciousness looked so… delectable. He ate his breakfast then went into the living room and turned on the sad excuse of a television. He made sure to turn the volume down so he wouldn't wake the rest of his family. Cartoon Network was on channel ninety so he went there. "Boring," he thought to himself, "Just poorly animated, pointless shows that make no sense." He then flipped to Nickelodeon on channel ninety-one. "What's with the mentally retarded sponge?" he thought. Channel ninety-two: Disney. Gregor did a face palm. "A girl who has a sad life, gets discovered by a TV company, and meets the boy of her dreams. Next." Nothing good was on TV so Gregor decided to take a walk.

He put a note on his mom's dresser saying he was going for a walk. Gregor put on his top-of-the-notch Adidas sneakers and went out the door. The elevator wasn't working so he ran down the stairs and opened up the door that led outside. The dew on the grass and the sound the birds chirping gave Gregor peace. He began to jog down to Central Park (I think you know where this is going). One of the neighbor's dogs began barking at him when he passed. "Will you shut up, Cabbages? People are trying to sleep," he said to the dog. "Like he even understands what I'm saying."

Gregor finally reached Central Park. He was probably the only one there except for a young teenage couple sitting on a bench facing away from him. He sat down on one of the benches and lay down. "At least they can stay together," he thought. He began thinking about the Underland. It had been about a year or so, he couldn't remember. Boots was four, Lizzie was eight, and he was thirteen. Yeah, it was about a year. He was home-schooling now for the sake of his scars and rager senses. He missed the Underland so much; it was like taking a cherry out of a bowl of cherries and putting it into a bowl of Brussels sprouts. He wasn't normal. He didn't fit in.

Just then the two teenagers looked behind themselves, got up, and walked in the direction of Gregor. Wait a minute; these teenagers were a bit tall to be teenagers. Also, they had super pale skin. They each held a corner of a bag in their hands. They were both wearing hoodies so the hoods covered their eyes making them look extremely ominous. The girl seemed to be holding a spray bottle of some sort. Gregor tried to move but he couldn't because of the shock. He couldn't believe what was happening: he was being kidnapped! The girl held out the bottle and sprayed some gas at his face. Next thing he knew he was falling asleep. Light was fading, he could see them bagging him. The lights were out.

Gregor awoke; the room was dark. A torch was lit and he saw a familiar face. "Welcome, Gregor the Overlander. I am sorry for the hostility, but it was the only way." It was Luxa. He was back in the Underland.
