A Night to Themselves
"Hi Nicky." Jackie said as she walked in the door after work.
"Hi, how was your day?" He asked her.
"Good." She responded with a smile.
"That's good." Nick said.
"Where are the kids?" Jackie asked, noticing how quiet it was in the house.
"They are over at your mom's, she called and asked if her and your dad could have them for the night since they are going to that wedding this upcoming weekend and won't see them for a few days." He told her.
"Yeah I know my mom wasn't thrilled about having to go to that wedding." Jackie said with a chuckle.
"She certainly didn't sound excited about it today that's for sure." Nick agreed.
"What do you say we order a pizza for dinner tonight and just relax since we have the night to ourselves?" Jackie asked.
"Oh, I already ordered Chinese food, I hope that's ok." Nick told her
"Sounds wonderful." She said with a smile.
They sat and watched T.V until their food arrived. After they ate, Nick grabbed her hand and led her to the bedroom.
"What's this?" Jackie asked.
At the foot of the bed there was a large foot soaking tub, on top of a towel, surrounded by rose petals.
"Well for your thirty week gift I figured that since I won't rub your feet I'd get you a foot soaker, it should feel good and help you relax." He told her.
"Thank you, that is so sweet." She said.
"Want me to go fill it up?" He asked.
"Yes please." She responded with a smile as she sat down at the foot of the bed.
"What's this?" Jackie asked as she picked up what looked to be some kind of a book that was sitting on the bed right next to where she'd sat down.
"That is an at home coupon book." He said.
"What?" She asked.
"In the book there are five pages of things you can ask me to do. How it works is all you have to do tear out the page you want to use and I'll do it." He said as he picked up the foot soaker and carried it out of the room so he could fill it with warm water.
She flipped through the book.
Page 1: Do the dishes.
Page 2. Give the kids their bath.
Page 3. Back massage.
Page 4. Make dinner.
Page 5. A hot and steamy make-out session with yours truly.
Jackie chuckled.
Minutes later Nick came back with the foot soaker, he set it down by her feet.
"Here ya go." He told her.
"Thank you." She said as she took off her socks and stuck her feet in the nice warm water.
"How's that feel?" He asked.
"Heavenly." She responded with a smile.
"Good, you stay here and relax for a bit." He told her as he got up and headed for the door.
"Hey Nicky?"
"Yeah?" He said as he stopped and turned around to face her.
"Can I use one of my coupons now?" She asked.
"Sure, whenever you want."
She smiled and tore one page out of the book and handed it to him.
"Page five is my favorite." He told her with a grin as he glanced down at the page in his hand.
He sat down next to her on the bed and started what the page said.
"Nicky?"
"Hmmm?" He asked.
"Thank you for all of this." She said.
He stopped kissing her and smiled at her.
"You know I'd do any of the things in the book for you anytime right? I just thought the book was a cute idea." He said.
"I know you'd do anything for me, and I love and appreciate you for it, and I agree, the book is very cute, now let's get back to page five." She said with a grin.
He happily obliged.
