"This is Jedi Master Obi-wan Kenobi. I regret to inform you that both the Jedi Order, and the Republic, have fallen, with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place."

And fallen they had. Darkness had consumed them all. Very few had not fallen to the Chancellors lies, leaving those who remained alone, few and —dare it be said?—a bit afraid. Afraid of what the future might hold.

"This message is a warning and a reminder for any surviving Jedi: Trust in the Force."

When hadn't the Jedi trusted in the Force? The Force was what made them Jedi, what gave them their abilities and powers. If the Jedi didn't believe in the Force, they would be lying to themselves.

"Do not return to the temple; that time had passed, and our future remains uncertain."

Darn right that time had passed. Going to the temple would be suicide: a death wish. Everyone's future was uncertain now, even the average Twi'lek's.

"Avoid Coruscant, avoid detection. Be secret, but be strong."

What the kriff was that supposed to mean? "Be secret, but be strong", always trust a Master to speak in riddles.

"We will each be challenged: our trust, our faith, our friendships. But we must persevere, and in time, a new hope will emerge."

As if the Genoside wasn't a challenge. Losing the one's closest to you, the one's you spent your whole life with, were the surviving expected to just...brush it off?

What new hope? As far as anyone could tell, there was no hope left: only fear.

That "new hope" still had yet to emerge.

"May the Force be with you...always."

...And with you, Master. Wherever you are.

Soooooooo really random thing I wrote yesterday about the message Obi-wan sent to the surviving Jedi (Kanan's thoughts maybe...?) I had dance pictures and wrote this down when I wasn't changing into itchy costumes or smiling until my cheeks hurt. And I'm publishing this today because I aM A BLACK BELT IN PROCRASTINATION! ヽ(`Д´)ノ FEAR ME!

ALSO! I just got back from seeing Civil War and all I can say is "Wow!". Also "AHDVSKSHSISBSHEHDH!" But I dunno how to pronounce that...
