the various things it might be, other than an annoyance to him.

Sam stared, fascinated by a repeatedly appearing and disappearing black hole.
Young giant squid blinkin' it's eye?
Sam knew an adult giant squid had the biggest eyes on earth, averaging 10 inches across. This only reached seven inches across, making it adolescent.
No...Wait...It's somebody signallin' Morse Code!
Desperately hoping to discern a message, Sam translated the variably timed black signals into alphabetical letters...Creating gibberish.
Somebody entertainin' themselves rollin' an' unrollin' the blind for an arch shaped window...Whoa! Random...And dumb!
The black hole appear yet again, maddening Sam. He'd had enough.
"Dean dammitt! Stop yawnin'! You're like a gaping chasm! Bed...Now!"
