A Family
The happy day has come,
Husband and wife,
Welcomes new life,
As their friends sits and waits.
It started nine months ago,
Weeks after they tied the knot,
she gently whispered, 'We're going to have a little one',
Kissing her, he states, 'She better look like you'.
'No! We want a boy!' the team chimed in,
Laughing, she says, 'I'm with them on that',
Days turn to months,
They were told the truth.
Twins there will be,
One boy and the other a girl,
Siblings fighting already,
Kicking and punching each other.
Now the day has come,
To welcome home the little ones,
Showing them off to all to see,
The happy couple is now a family.
