Saddly, those were his last coherent thoughts, as Shukaku was ripped from his body.
Gaara felt himself become lighter, and he opened his eyes.
What he saw shocked him…
White, pure and unblemished by darkness of any kind.
He looked around in confusion, and thought:
'Am I…
Dead?'
His eyes roamed around the scenery, but he was unable to move an inch.
Confused thoughts swirled around his brain so fast, that he thought the room was spinning.
Suddenly, he saw a small shadow come into existence, and to his astonishment he watched it grow into a younger version of himself.
The child's head was in his hands, and he was crying.
Then, another shadow came into existence, and grew into a younger version of a certain blonde, spiky haired ninja.
Both boys were on the ground, crying.
He watched in amazement, as both boys grew again.
The red headed boy finally looked up, but a sad look had dominated his eyes.
Naruto on the other hand, was being helped up by a younger Sakura.
The small Gaara stood, alone and helpless, as they grew again.
Small Gaara became a teen, and now his eyes were filled with rage and bloodlust.
Small Naruto became a teen as well, but his eyes were filled with joy.
For Naruto did not stand alone, like poor Gaara, he had many friends standing behind him.
Gaara just watched as Naruto flourished under the attention of his friends, while Gaara just became angrier.
Suddenly, teen Gaara disappeared.
Naruto rounded upon him, and said…
"Come on Gaara, wake up…Suna needs their Kazekage."
Then, Gaara's body crumpled….
The white room became pitch black, as he closed his eyes.

When Gaara did open his eyes, he saw a grown Naruto standing in his line of sight.
"GAARA!" cheered a GIANT crowd of people.
He could only look around in utter astonishment, and think:
'I…suppose…Naruto and I aren't very different…'
A small fraction of one corner of his mouth moved north, and he looked happily at the blue sky.
