"I'm home Mama.. Hey, have a look what I bought for you! Your fav... (silence) Mama.. ? Mamaa. ? Where are you? said Ayesha. Her heart pounded fastly. She was checking in and out but there was sign of her mother. She got anxious and called her friends for assistance. She was completely lost and couldn't think where her mother could go. It was hard to breathe even.
"Nnno...! Nnno..! I won't be thinking wrong! She'll be back soon.. Please God protect her wherever she is...️",said Ayesha.
The door bell rang. "Who's there? asked Ayesha. "It's me, Sam". "Thank God you came! Please help me in finding my mother. I've called all my kith and kin, no one knows where she is. She didn't even take her phone. Im so worried." The girl couldn't resist and started to cry.
"Ayesha, stay calm. Be strong. Aunty will be alright and she'll be back soon too", said Sam while wiping her tears off.
The clock striked 6:00 pm. "I think we should file a missing report. It's almost six hours. Ayesha..? Ayesha...? Are you listening", suggested Sam while shaking her to bring her back from unconsciousness.
"Please take me to my mother. She's everything I have." and she broke into tears.
However, Sam managed to report the police and they arrived in next thirty minutes. They just started their investigations when the phone rang. It was from Healthcare Hospital.
Young girl's heart stopped beating. She couldn't hear anything. Her focus was lost. Her moments with her mother were just appearing in her eyes as if they were happening then. So, being a best friend, Sam made her believe nothing was going to happen.
While he was on the phone, the door bell rang. A short-dark Asian, fifteen year old boy with a fractured hand and few scars on his face was standing next to her mother.
"Mama! Mammmaaaa! Where were you? Thank God. You are safe! I was scared to death. I thought I have lost you". She started crying so hard that her hiccups could be heard easily.
"No Ayesha. I'm fine my daughter. Meet Amir, he saved my life. You wouldn't be seeing me standing on two feet if he wouldn't be there. That's how he is fractured. And how could I leave him in that condition? And you know that due to age, I don't remember things so one of them was your contact number", said ther mother while embracing Ayesha.
"Oh you are like an angel to me. I owe you my life". She was overwhelmed.
"No sister, I just helped your mother free of any cost. I know what a family means. Unfortunately, I'm not blessed with such a bounty", sighed Amir.
"As a gesture of kindness and love, I suggest you to stay with us till you recover. We'll be happy to serve and look after you", said Ayesha putting a smile on her face. "But there's no need at all...", said Amir. "Ssshhh! You called me sister, right? I'm your family. In fact we all are family. You can stay as long as you want too",said Ayesha happily.
