For The Better

(A/N: It's really late, and all of a sudden I started typing. I have no idea where this came from but I'm posting it anyways. Please review and tell me what you think!)

It was Ironic

The one thing Voldemort wished would happen,

People to separate

And be weak

Did not, but just the opposite

He had forced the students of Hogwarts

The people of England

And the witches and wizards of the world

To come together as one united force

They forgot about blood and colour

And instead realized

Their one similarity

Which would created a magical bond that could not be broken

By hatred or lies

Because it was fuelled by hope and love

It taught the students

Of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

That if they wanted the world to change, it would start with them

And they would have to change it now

They started with acceptance

Accepting each other

They were forced to mature and grow up

They came together as a school

A school with a goal

to make a change

They did

A great alliance they were

Strong, brave, smart, and determined

With open eyes and open hearts

New friendships blossomed

And romances flourished

How could anyone find love in dark times like these? People would say

But they didn't understand how easy it was

That that was what made them stronger

Voldemort believed that feelings weakened the mind

And weakened power

But no, once again that was not the case

He was very wrong indeed

The impossible was now just an arms length away

And how wonderful that feeling of grasping and holding it in your hands,

close to your heart

Impossible became possible

And it was done

Not easily, though

Lives were lost

Sacrifices made

Hearts torn apart

But in time they were mended with the same substance that created it

Love and hope

Compassion and strength

Voldemort's reign had finally come to and end

The word breathed a great breath of fresh air

Because the world was now a better place

At the beginning, they were children

Naive

Who believed their parents

Never questioning or doubting their beliefs

But they could not be like that if change were to come

They began to think differently,

Seeing better ways

Kinder ways

Those who were cruel learned to find happiness in another's laughter

Those with narrowed vision widened,

And found a new world

They found their world

A better world

Different than all those before

A happier world

At the end,

(Which was only yet another beginning)

They were young men and women

They were survivors

They were no longer naïve

They appreciated life and all it had to offer

And most of all they were thankful

Yes, thankful

Thankful for Voldemort

For he had been the one to create that spark of hate

A spark, which he though would burn down good

But now the students were left with an option:

Either do nothing; stay the way they were,

And watch as their world crumbled to ash

Or use it as a blessing to open their eyes,

See their possibility of change for better

And run with that spark

Which would grow to a fire of good that they could use to fight back against the hate

You know what they chose

And years later, they say to their children:

It is up to us

To choose what we take from a circumstance

Whether good or bad, it does not mater, because

We can take something good, or take something bad from it

If you take the good,

It is the light at the end of a tunnel

For rainy days make things grow

Till this day they are thankful

Because out of hate, can come love

And out of bad, can always come good
