The man rode through the plains, wind whipping at his short hair. He had sent word for the others to meet him at the Shire ,where they would alert the majority of the party. The matter at hand was urgent.
Shire
"Merry!"
"Pippin!"
"Sam!"
The three hobbits fell over on another in excitement, and after a host of greetings ,straightened up.
"Been a while since we last chatted eh? " said Merry "Last time was when Frodo left!"
"Nearly two months" mused Sam
"Lets all go to the green Dragon for a drink and a chat!" said Pippin ,pulling the other two along.
The green Dragon an hour later
Merry and Pippin were talking heatedly but quietly when the strangers walked in, Two tall ,one normal(hobbit)height ,and all with black hooded cloaks covering their faces. The pub went quiet at once.
Except for Merry and Pippin, who were still arguing.
"No! its better this way!"
"But no one will know...We wont get any recognition"
"Do you want Orcs and other such enemies after us?!"
"Speaking of enemies" Sam jerked his head towards the door and the other two turned to look. Immediately their hands flew to their swords and rested there, waiting in case of attack. The short one surveyed the scene and walked straight to the hobbits and sat next to Sam. The tall ones made their way too, and hunched down near the table .Rosie, who still worked at the bar, looked over worriedly but Sam gave a slight smile and she relaxed .The strangers pulled back their hoods
"Legolas?"
"Arargorn?"
"Gimili?"
They smiled .Then Aragorn grew grim.
"We must reform the fellowship." he said "an urgent matter has arisen"
The hobbits leant in. As he spoke, they grew more grim.
"Well lets go "said Gimli "I want to kill something!"
"I don't think you understand."said Aragorn "the fellowship, the whole fellowship is needed for this quest"
Comprehenson dawned on their faces
"Frodo and Gandalf…"
" have to get them back!"
Legolas stood up. "Lets go!"
They all filed after him.
