She sat there, arms around her knees, refusing to let that wave of tears explode. Rocking back and forth, she blinked her eyes, took a deep breath and looked up. Her eyes widened as they met violet ones.

"Sa-sanzo…"

"What the hell do you think you are doing?"

"Nothing, I was just…" She swallowed and looked down, unable to face the glare.

Cold metal under her chin jerked her head up; his face dangerously close to hers. "Bitch. I don't have time for my best warrior to mope around because her friend took her man."

She hated that her eyes were filling up. Hearing his harsh voice say those words made it more real than she could handle.

In an instant, he got up and began walking away.

"Catch."

She looked up confused, as a pack of Marlboros came flying towards her.

"Light up and lets go."

Unbeknownst to her, a small chuckle found its way through. She stared at the blonde leaving and got up. Slowly, just a little. But that was good. She could move. She would do it.

Things change. Sanzo never shares his smokes, after all.
