Prologue: The World
Ever since the earliest days of the Planet Earth, stars have stared down at them. These stars are gateways. Gateways between the Spirit World and the Human World.
Though the gateways have existed for a long time, no spirit ever crossed into the human realm, for they thought humans to be fools.
But one fateful day two stars happened to fall out of the sky, which would forever change the spirits. No one knew why or how those two stars fell, but they did, and when they made contact with the human world it made the walls between the worlds wavier.
Two spirits, a Drago and Pegasus, were the first two spirits to wander into the human world, and thought action on their part; they became bonded items that the humans called beyblades. When a spirit became bonded to a blade, they returned to the spirit world, but a part of their spirit was left with the blade.
This had many side effects, and some benefits. The humans would battle the blades with each other and call on the power of the spirits that were bonded to them, though every battle the spirits power grew more and more.
The owners of the Pegasus and Drago blades fought, and even though it was only one battle, the spirits had gain power that could outclass everyone else in the whole spirit world.
This led to other spirits that wanted to gain power going to the human world out of their own free will, soon there wasn't a single spirit that wasn't bonded to a blade.
With every spirit becoming more powerful, it became a game to the spirits as well.
Then in the human world, the sport of beyblade was becoming more popular, so it was constantly being improved. The first big event in spirit history was when humans had all the beyblades recreated, which didn't harm the spirits in anyways but many did mention that it wasn't pleasant. The recreation the blades was for the in introduction of Fusion Wheels, metal rings that had different powers and weaknesses.
Beyblades had always been made of metal, but the spirits at first were bonded to that metal on those original blades. Now they were bonded to Energy Rings, little pieces of plastic that had different weights.
The fusion wheel was the greatest change in spirit history, for when a spirit comes into contact with a metal, their personality changed.
At first many were angered by this, but many saw it as a good thing, because before each spirit only acted like that spirit should, they had been types of spirit, like Pegasus and Drago, were different and only aced like a Pegasus or Drago should. The metal rings changed that and gave everyone different personalities based on the metal combined with spirits own qualities.
The Fusion Wheels' did have some problems attached to them however, because it was all through the power of certain metals that a spirit could become evil.
The human world might have had its share of problems, but the spirit world wasn't perfect either, and that is where this story shall take place.
Thanks for sitting through that background. If there are any spelling mistakes, please tell me so I can correct them. This is my way of breaking my five month long writers' block, so if you don't like it, sorry.
