The Story of Luna Lovegood

Chapter 1

A year after the Dark Lord was Defeated

Luna was walking along a hillside near her house. She was going to visit her friend Ron Weasley who lived a few miles away from her house (Luna was still living with her father), and it was not very far from the Weasley's house the Burrow and they were the nearest magical family in the area and she had known Ron since she had been in her 4th year at Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardry, the reason they had never met before was because they where in different houses at school and she was a year below Ron. She had known his sister Ginny from before then because they were in the same year and in a couple of classes together but she had not got to really know her until they both joined Dumbledore's Army.

She walked for some time more along the hillside until a tall house came into view that looked like it was built on a pigsty and held together by magic, which she guessed it was as it was unlikely that the house would stay together otherwise.

Luna descended from the hill and walked along a dirt path towards the building. Ginny ran out of the house to meet her and they walked into the house together talking. Ginny informed her that Harry was coming to visit that evening after he finished work. Harry Potter was Ginny's boyfriend and worked in the Auror office for the Ministry of Magic as he had been asked to help round up the last Death Eaters that where still on the run after he had defeated Lord Voldemort this time last year. As they entered the house an owl few over them and collapsed on the table it was Errol the Weasley family owl which had looked like it was about to die for about 8 years but had not yet. Ginny moved Errol aside and picked up the letter it had been carrying, it was written in Bill's writing (Bill was Ginny's eldest brother). The message said:

Dear all
