Lights, Patterns, and Nobody
The windy air brushed my hair in a hard, sadistic manner. The lively hair, out of my control, pierced my eyes stripping me of my vision. The cold night air blew around me almost carrying me away. The maze of vehicles seemed to have moved, all of them coming toward me. I started to fall, not being able to feel my legs. Once a glowing orb appeared in the parking lot, one body part began to disappear. I was strewn against the slab of concrete hearing the amused sounds of the carnival nearby. The laughter increased all the while a thrush of pain intensified and receded in a convoluting pattern. As strange, as this was I began to understand the message in Morse code: It will be as if you were never here…The air was settling down, already leaving me in the forgotten abyss. I saw the distinct patterns of the carnival lights before they all vanished. I was not exposed to life, not for a long while. Drifting off to sleep, or asleep already, an abrupt spray of chemicals rained down upon me. Useless, the last thing I saw was the red claws of Him. And after that, a sash of pink and green heading toward the direction of home. Your life was supposed to flash before your eyes before the final tip over death. But not for me. I saw what my life would be if I were not a Powerpuff Girl, what it would be like if I was not created at the age of five. What it would be like if I lived past eight. What it would be like if my biggest worries were passing and failing school. What it would be like if I had real parents. What it would be like if I did not have Mojo Jojo always leaving destruction at his wake.
Being a super heroine, celebrity, known figure, whatever brings a lot of drama and violence into one's life. Drama and violence one could definitely live without. It's not all it's cracked up to be…
The city of Townsville...home of the Powerpuff Girls! It's up to Blossom and Buttercup to save the world before bedtime.
"Look Professor!" exclaimed Blossom, "some girl was found dead on the carnival parking lot grounds the other day. Look, she's wearing something like our uniforms, except blue. Another poser, I guess. It is really irresponsible for the citizens of Townsville to do that! They will get hurt! This is the end result; injuries to a poor civilian from an evil baddie. We all know how well Princess Morbucks is doing by wearing a yellow uniform." Blossom snorted that last part, as Princess Morbucks is always a hilarious sight.
"I don't know Blossom. This girl looks familiar…,"muttered Buttercup. She squinted at the picture confusedly. Where did she see her before?
"Trust me, she's nobody," stated Blossom confidently. With that, the discussion ended. A discussion that was never going to start up again.
The two puffs felt a strange guilt at this end; little did they know it was going to envelope them completely until they too, surrendered to Him. Because you see, Bubbles didn't really die…
