Screams all around me,

Cheers and shouts,

One voice penetrated it,

"What is this?"

Seaweed Brain

I turn from my kiss

I see a heartbroken man

His brother is sitting beside me

Smirking,

As is Poseidon, his father

"Annabeth! How could you?!"

His eyes

Once so bright

With a sparkle

Now they had an edge,

Cold and unforgiving,

But I could see the unshed tears.

Then man I loved,

-Correction love-

Then walked into the waiting arms,

The warm arms,

Of my former friends.

Weeks went by

I made those friends of his

Into mine.

He looked heartbroken

-again-

When they left him.

He left after that,

The gods knew where he went

They wouldn't tell me

Then his brother

-Mark-

Left me

Then I felt it,

The way he felt

I felt terrible,

Inconsiderate,

Hopeless and

Alone.

The I found it,

His letter,

I cried when I read it,

I felt like I was stabbed with poison

-again-

I realized just how helpless,

He had been,

Without me,

I mean,

He needs me to

Survive.

I have kept the letter,

I showed it to his old friends,

The wept and were sorry,

I was still trying to find him.

The Hunters came to camp,

And that's when I saw him,

Impressive and strong,

But,

He stayed next to Artemis,

He didn't pay me any attention.

I realized then,

He did move on,

His new love was, is,

Artemis.
