A/N: I did borrow a couple lines from the show, but the rest of the story is completely mine. I made this because I was a little upset and tired. I didn't think it would get to be this weird but whatever. Hope you enjoy, and don't forget to leave me a little teeny tiny review?

Azula was trapped. There were no enemies around and she was not stuck in a prison of any kind, yet she was trapped. Trapped by the things she had heard her mother say about her before her mother was banished.

"What is wrong with that child?"

So what if she hadn't turned out like a wuss like her brother? She just tried to do the things that made her father happy. And if that meant training to be the best fire bending prodigy, then she would do it.

"How did my sweet little girl become such a monster?"

How did she become a monster? One day she loved dolls and laughing with her friends, trying to get Zuko and Mai together, and the next she is helping her psychotic father take over the Earth kingdom. Sometime in there something must have happened, but what?

"I love, you Azula."

That was not true. It couldn't be after she said all of those things. She loved Zuko. Only her father had loved her. Even her friends didn't even love her. That was just fear. She was pretty sure that her mother had only felt fear towards her.

"That's not true, I love you Azula, I do."

Azula's head was spinning. She couldn't tell the real memories from the false ones any more. They were blurring together faster than her mind could comprehend. It was all too much and finally…..SNAP!

It was the last straw. There was only one person responsible for this. It wasn't her whiny brother or her mother who never loved her and it certainly wasn't that cream-puff of an Avatar. No she knew deep down whose fault it was for making her a monster. And he was going to pay.

Azula sauntered down towards the kitchens, an area where she had never lay foot in before. She tried to remain as composed as she could in her current mental state. Thankfully though she had only passed a couple of servants on the way down who had given her awkward glances but otherwise said nothing.

When she arrived at the kitchens she only had one thing on her mind. She needed a knife. Sure she could kill him with firebending, but he could probably beat her so something nice and old fashioned would suffice.

She waited until the middle of the night so that not only would he be asleep, but his firebending would be at its weakest. She crept into his chambers as a manic smile had eased itself onto her face. It wasn't like anyone was going to miss this giant slimeball. She was doing the world a favor.

"It doesn't have to be this way, Azula."

Azula paused for a full minute. What was she doing? This was her father. He had made her stronger. He had made her a better fighter. He had banished both her mother and brother. He had forced her to become stronger everyday. He had made her a monster. With that thought she plunged the large cleaver into his chest and pulled it out again. Pushing it back in again and again. Each with more gusto than the last, laughing the whole time. By the time the Fire Lord was discovered the next day, she would already be on the run.
