A/N : Sorry! I just started playing the game a few days ago, and I'm writing this as I am about to go up against Vegnagun's Torso, with my shiny new mascot dress sphere. Anyway! This scene happens right after the concert in Thunder Plains, where the commsphere that Shrina drops into the farplane is fixed by none other then are resident hunky al bhed. This is my version of the conversation after the signal is lost. ^_^ (by the way did you notice that during Yuna's little speech in front of Nooj Gippal and Rikku nod exactly the same way right after one another? CUTE!!!)
"What about LeBlanc?" Gippal questioned.
"Well… She's- Well, I don't know, to be honest. I've never had someone who cared what I did, and then you, Baralai, and Paine show up and start harassing me, and then Leblanc comes. It's… unsettling. What about you? The blonde one, Rikku? Isn't she your girl?"
"… She was. At this point I'm pretty sure she never wants to speak to me again."
"What did you do?" Nooj stared at him questioningly. After all, Vegnagun wasn't going anywhere.
"Went on a suicidal binge by joining the crimson squad, and leaving in the middle of the night without saying goodbye." Gippal sighed, the memories of that time still implanted firmly in his head. "I was terrified that if I saw her, I wouldn't leave… I couldn't leave. It wouldn't have mattered that I was leaving so I could keep Sin away from her, so that she'd stay safe. I wouldn't have been able to walk away from her… and then SHE goes CHASING him of all things, with that cousin of hers. Fayth I wanted to strangle her when I found out."
"Does she know?"
"Doubt it. I hadn't spoken to her since the day before I left, until she came to djose looking for work."
"I guess we were both born to be bachelors."
"Tell ya what Noojster, if we live through this. We both have to confess."
"You think we'll live through this?"
"Probably not, but at least it gives me a little incentive not to get blown to bits."
