I have been in a really, really good mood lately and I though 'I need more Merry and Pippin in my life' so I came up with a one shot idea for them and then I decided to make a series of LOTR cute little one shots! Hope you enjoy!

Pippin closed his fist tightly around the mushrooms.

"Why are you picking mushrooms?" Frodo asked from behind.

Pippin turned and smiled weakly at Frodo.

"I made a new friend!" Pippin beamed.

Frodo sighed deeply.

"Who?" The tiny hobbit asked.

"Merry!" Pippin replied, rocking on his heels, proud that he had made friends with the notorious Merry.

Frodo gasped dramatically and stumbled back.

Pippin laughed at his friend's stupid display of horror.

"As in Meriadoc Brandybuck!" Frodo gasped, clamping his hands down over his eyes.

Pippin nodded, pleased that Frodo seemed shocked.

"Oh no! Bilbo warned me about the Brandybuck's!" Frodo cried out, horrified at his friend.

"Well, I am meeting him now!" Pippin smiled, he opened his fist and drew from his palm a muddy mushroom. "Here, take this!" Pippin smiled, slinging the mushroom at Frodo. And then without further ado, the very young hobbit strode away from his friend and towards Bywater.

Whistling as he went, Pippin walked alone, passing many older hobbits who were sure to go and tell Pippin's mother about his adventures. But Pippin didn't care, Merry was waiting for his mushrooms and Pippin had to take them to him. After a while, Pippin arrived in Bywater, a short distance from Hobbiton. He turned back and saw in the distance, a clutter of hobbit holes, he should be back by dinner time.

"Pippin!" Came a delighted cry from behind.

The tiny hobbit turned to see Merry bounding towards him.

"Merry!" Pippin cried, opening his hand once again and displaying the mushrooms to Merry.

"Great work Pippin!" Merry said, examining a mushroom and then devouring it in one bite.

"Nice?" Pippin asked anxiously.

Merry nodded, grabbing another mushroom from Pippin's hand.

"You have some!" Merry said, indicating for Pippin to eat as he finished his second mushroom.

Pippin slowly begun eating with Merry.

"Am I your friend?" Pippin asked as the last of the mushroom's had been eaten.

"Of course!" Merry replied.

Pippin smiled, he had a feeling that him and Merry would be friend's for a very long time...
