They listened to his heart.
Little - less - nothing! - and that ended it.
No more to build on there. And they, since they
Were not the one dead, turned to their affairs.

-Robert Frost

There's such a fooled heart
Beatin' so fast
In search of new dreams
A love that will last
Within your heart
I'll place the moon
Within your heart

Thunder filled skies loomed ahead as two figures, a woman that looked about 24 and a young toddler skulked in the shadows of the city of New York. The toddler started to whimper in his fitful sleep in the woman's arms. She hurriedly shushed him, looking over her shoulders fearfully. The two continued their slow progress; they were heading in the direction of a decrepit old building. The only distinction it had in the block is the faint magical aura the women could see floating around it.

When she approached the door she knocked three quick taps with one loud and long one. The peephole in the door quietly opened and two bright blue eyes stared out at her, they gave the appearance of x-raying her. She stared back almost defiantly and made a peace sign, a gold ring flashed on her hand before she put her hand back into her pocket. The peephole slid closed and a faint squeak accompanied the door opening.

The man with the blue eyes quickly ushered her in. The woman took in the inside of the room seeming unsurprised, the inside barely resembled the outside; looking fairly clean and new, it looked like a sitting room and seemed almost bigger than the outside. After closing the door he withdrew a thin stick from his pocket and waved it around the woman. Appearing satisfied he nodded to himself and led her to a back room that was smaller than the first and had several doors leading off to somewhere else. The man than withdrew the thin stick again and was waving it over a shoe. A faint blue light seemed to start to surround it. He then picked it up and started to hand it to the woman but suddenly withdrew.

"The wards around this place prevent you from harming me, so don't try attacking me to get this." He warned, though he didn't really seem to expect an attack.

"Now, I would like to know what is going on since this is illegal after all." The woman eyed him coldly and seemed to reluctantly let the words pass through her mouth.

"My husband and I do not see eye do not eye anymore and I wish to protect my son and I." the woman gazed at him, almost daring him to pity or refuse her means of escape.

The man's eyes seemed to X-ray her again as if searching for something; he seemed to find it as he handed over the glowing shoe.

"Be careful then, I would not wish to hear that my godson was harmed by the traitor. Just think your destination and good luck, merlin be with you." She bowed her head in respect; she hugged the man then stepped back with her eyes closed with a look of concentration on her face. She then disappeared with her son in a flash of light. The man stared at the spot that she disappeared at and slowly sank to the floor. Eyes wide with despair and loss as he started to cry, mourning the destruction of his only true family.

Miles away the woman and her son appeared in an old abandoned mansion that looked like it hadn't been touched in years. She looked around the room, it was in ruins, dust and decaying furniture dominated the once kitchen. She left the room to look for a bedroom where she planned to clean up with a few scourjify spells, if she had bothered to look above the door she was exiting she would have seen an old banner hanging the proclaimed Tourjus Pur.
