The Morning After
Tina woke up before the sun rose on November 1, 1981. After getting ready for the day she walked through her flat to the kitchen. Upon entering the kitchen she made her some pancakes then sat down to eat.
Her mind wandered to her best friend Lily. Tina and Lily had been best friends since their first day of Hogwarts. People always thought they were sisters as they both had red hair and green eyes. The biggest difference between the 2 was that Tina was a Slytherin and Lily a Gryffindor. Even though they were in rival houses, their friendship lasted. And eventually Tina was even accepted by the Marauders in their 7th year. Tina started dating Remus not long after.
A tapping on the window brought Tina out of her thoughts, and she let the owl in. Once the owl had delivered the paper and collected his Knut, Tina sat down to read the Daily Prophet.
"YOU KNOW WHO DEAD!"
Tina's eyes widened at the headline, but she kept reading,
"Last Night You Know Who was vanquished! You Know Who appeared late last night at Godric's Hollow, he attacked the Potter Family. Killing James and Lily Potter then moving on to their one year old son Harry. You Know Who attempted to kill the Potter boy but instead killing himself and only leaving the baby with a lightening bolt shaped scar on his forehead. "
Tina's eyes were wide as a tear slipped down her cheek. She was about to put the paper down when a smaller headline caught her eye.
"Sirius Black Murders 12 Muggles and Peter Pettigrew"
She gasped Sirius a murderer, he would never. It was the whole reason he hated his deceased brother.
"Last night Sirius Black had turned James and Lily Potter, his best friend and wife to You Know Who. Peter Pettigrew another best friend of Black corned Black in an alley. After some yelling they was a blast killing 12 Muggle witnesses and Pettigrew. When the Ministry took Black away he was laughing. The Ministry Officials sentenced Black to a life in Azkaban with no trial."
By now Tina had tears running down her cheek; she grabbed the paper and disapperated. When she opened her eyes she was standing in the kitchen on Remus's flat.
The red head ran to the basement pulling her wand and pointing it at the metal door in front of her "Alohormora". Instantly the door was opened and she ran into the room.
As soon as she ran in the door she froze. Lying on the ground in front of her was a huge Werewolf chained to the wall. But the Werewolf was not what surprised her.
The Werewolf was curled up in a ball whimpering as if he knew something was wrong.
Then all of sudden a huge shiver ran through its body. Tina knowing what was happening turned around and shut her eyes as the Werewolf started to shriek in agony. After a couple minutes of quiet Tina grabbed the blanked in front of her and turned around.
Remus looked up at her with weary behind his gold eyes, but when he studied her facial expression the weary was soon forgotten.
Tina handed Remus the blanket without making eye contact and sat down next to him. He pulled the blanket around him to keep from shivering in the early cold morning, and took the Daily Prophet from her.
She watched his face fall, widen and tear up. It was then that Tina let it go. Remus wrapped his arms around her both crying and pulled her into his lap.
And there they cried in each other's arms till they eventually fell asleep.
