Ron honestly tried to get used to the muggle traditions of life, and the sometimes strange things which Hermione could sometimes talk about, but often failed. He could get confused by the way things were called or made to work easily.
In fact the one thing he found easiest to understand was the theatre, with its musicals, ballet's and plays, even if some of the title's confused him a little. Ron enjoyed the plays and musicals when Hermione introduced him to them, so much that he wanted to take Hermione there again.
Harry didn't quite understand Ron's enjoyment of musicals, but when asked about the ones he knew Harry had to mention a musical he was fairly sure Hermione might enjoy but Ron might not.
"Just tell me what the musical is called Harry. Please?" Ron moaned, after Harry had laughed before saying any title of a show.
Harry laughed for a moment more. "How about taking Hermione to see 'Cats'? I've heard it's amazing." He managed to get out before smiling as he watched Ron's reaction.
Ron went red, then slowly took a breath. "There's really a musical called that? You're not making fun of me, are you?"
Harry forced his face to be serious as he quickly summoned a leaflet he'd noticed at a muggle bar he'd been to that week. "Here's the leaflet for it, Ron. I'm sure Hermione would love the musical, and you'll enjoy it too."
"There's a musical put on by cats? Really? I thought the muggles weren't able to train cats that much." Ron completely misunderstood the title of the play, and Harry had to laugh again.
"Get tickets and see what they can do then." He suggested.
Hermione couldn't believe the gift in front of her. It was just an envelope, nothing really special, except for the logo saying it was from the theatre. Her favourite muggle theatre to be precise. The only thing that could be in the envelope was tickets to a show, brought by Ron, presumably.
"RON!" she yelled, excited about why there were tickets being sent to her.
Ron smiled to himself before entering the room. "Yes Hermione, what do you want me for?" He asked, grinning at his wife's excitement.
"What are the tickets for? Where are we going?" Hermione asked, as excited about Ron's thoughtful gift as she was about going to the theatre.
"We're going to the theatre of course, to see 'Cats', although I still don't understand how muggles can get cats to perform." Ron happily explained.
"Ron," Hermione laughed. "It's not perfomed by cats, only by people acting as cats. How did you know it's my favourite musical?"
Ron looked shocked at the revelation, before controlling his expression. "I didn't know, Harry suggested it when I decided I want to take you to the theatre."
"Just promise me one thing Ron?" Hermione grinned.
"What?" Ron looked confused at needing to promise anything, even as Crookshanks brushed against his legs.
Hermione picked her cat up. "You better not start calling Crookshanks Macavity. It might be best for you to leave your wand behind at the same time, knowing you."
Ron laughed, "Are you sure Crookshanks isn't Macavity? Harry showed me the poem about him."
Hermione grinned. "Yes I'm sure."
