A/N: So I had to write a poem for poetry workshop, and I wrote one. Then, I started thinking about Jean and Marie; why do I invest so much time in them? I consulted Flaeron. Next thing I know, I'm writing fanfiction about them and incorporating parts of the poem. I apologize for mistakes, lack of quality, and such; it's 3:44 a.m.

This is for me. Everyone should treat themselves to something once in a while.

Please read and review. I like constructive criticism.

"Kissing you is kind of like licking a star." Jean says after pulling her mouth away from Marie's. She leans against the far right wall of the Danger Room, and Marie covers the distance between them.

Her gloved hand moseys down Jean's right side, and she looks at Jean with confused, loving eyes.

"How so?" she asks as she traces the contours of the older woman's breasts through a spandex shirt.

Jean plays with the white locks framing Marie's face. She twirls them around her fingers. "When I kiss you…I can't breathe." Jean pauses and looks at Marie's face as her hands run up and down the girl's arms. "There's no air, like I'm suffocating. But in a good way."

Marie's eyes urge Jean to continue as her hands dance along the older woman's back.

"It makes me feel alive." Jean quickly kisses Marie and sighs as she pulls away. "It feels so impossible, so unbelievable that I'm here. With you." Jean plays with the hair at Marie's neck. "You make me feel alive."

The girl smiles. "I make your body burn." Marie outlines Jean's lips with a finger. "Your lips and tongue become hot." She slips a hand between Jean's thighs. She can feel the wet warmth through the spandex. "Sweet heat stirs between your thighs like candy in a sunspot."

Jean's emerald eyes grow dark and hungry. "My body feels like fire." She grabs Marie and pulls her close as their mouths meet for an ephemeral moment. "I die with every kiss."

The younger woman looks into her lover's green eyes with her own cocoa ones and presses their lips together for a flash. She watches Jean's face as she pulls away. "And you're reborn with every breath."

Marie smiles, "like a phoenix."

Jean licks her lips and leans in again. "I burn to ash and rise to your lips."

"You are so beautiful." Marie places a stray strand of Jean's blazing hair behind her ear.

Running a hand down the side of Marie's face jean replies, "So are you."

Jean slides down to the floor taking Marie with her.
