"I'm not enough." Ruby's voice was low, soft.
"You are, Ruby. Trust me." Ryan pleaded.
"I can't be. Not for anyone."
"Please don't do this, Ruby. You're enough for me. You're everything."
Ryan could hear the tears in Ruby's voice, feeling strangely disconnected. "Don't you want me to be happy?" Ruby dropped the phone, hands numb. "I'm not enough. I'm sorry."
