"You can't be serious, Tor.." the dark-haired niner trailed off, shaking his head in disbelief as he stared at the hat in his hands. It was a pair of Mickey Mouse ears to match Tori's sequined Minnie Mouse ears headband. "I've already got everything else on, do I really have to wear this dumb hat?" Tori stopped her movements in front of her vanity, turning to face him with none other than a puppy dog pout. It only caused Zig to cross his arms and raise his eyebrows at the girl across the room, challenging her to go further. This was a little game they played, or at least Tori played, to get her way and the majority of the time it worked. Not only could Zig not compete with her pouting, he hated seeing her upset over something, whatever it may be.
Tori's bottom lip pushed out even further and Zig began tapping his foot against the hardwood floor of her bedroom. Next came her eyes, making them appear larger and sadder and the boy began shaking his head once more. "No way, babe. Your ears look cute on you.. this hat'll make me look stupid, I'm not wearing it." Letting out a seemingly defeated sigh, she stood from her vanity and crossed her arms over her chest. This was the first good look Zig had gotten at her outfit - a red dress covered in quarter-sized white polka dots with a sweetheart neckline, black tights, bright yellow pumps, and her ears with a cute red bow placed between them. An inevitable smile tugged at his lips as he took in the sight; his girlfriend was gorgeous and there was no denying it.
"Pwease?" Tori spoke in a childlike voice, crossing her fingers in front of her body as she sauntered over to him. All Zig did was blink at her as she stood about two feet from him, her eye level closer to his due to the heels she was wearing. "I will.. get you your favorite candy?" He didn't budge. "Umm.. Pizza? I know you love pizza, Zig." Nothing. She chewed on her bottom lip that was freshly painted red, her mind searching for ways to bribe him into wearing the hat so that they could match at the Halloween party. Uncrossing her fingers, Tori began to tug at the Mickey Mouse shaped ring on her right ring finger, sliding it up and down as she looked at him through playfully narrowed eyes.
"Do you love me?"
A sheepish expression made its way to Zig's face and he looked down at the floor in an attempt to hide the dopey grin he was now sporting. There was no way he was able to ignore that question and he slowly nodded his head as he brought his eyes up to meet Tori's. She had a knowing smirk that toyed on her lips, the same smirk she always wore when she knew she'd won the competitions between the two, no matter how big or small. Stepping forward, her heels making a deep clacking noise against the floor, Tori grabbed the hat from Zig's hands and plopped it on his head. She leaned forward and gave him a quick kiss to the lips, smiling against the familiar surface. "So you're wearing it," she stated simply, letting her hand drop to give his butt a flirtatious smack before returning to her vanity to finish her makeup for their night.
