"What is this about, Castle?"

Beckett asked Castle for the 12th time, He didn't want to tell her it would ruin the surprise of everything that he has planned. Castle walked her to the swing sets hand in hand talking about the feature and joking around.

"Don't worry, just sit here for a moment"

So she did, Beckett sat down on the swing as ordered and waited, for what Castle had planned, Castle sat in the next swing over and started to talk.

"Remember the first time, the very first time we sat on these exact swings?" Beckett opened her mouth ready to answer his question, just when Castle put his finger up to shut her up, She bit her lip to hold in her smile, he continued,

"You came to the Book Signing, where I waited for 3 months and you never called"

"Castle, I said that I was sorry.."

"I know, I know, just listen okay?"

Beckett nodded and started to swing a bit just like a child at a park would do

"We talked about that wall you had build up after your mother had died, and how you can't have the relationship you want to have with someone until you put it down to rest, The second time it was only you that came the these exact swing sets in the pouring rain you sat in the rain just thinking about what you are possibly going to miss, you turned up at my door soaked, remember that?"

"yeah I remember, oh god I also made a puddle on your floor from all the rain, and soaked your shirt as well.."

"Yeah, I remember that part too, you knocked on my door and said you wanted me. and that you were sorry, you were sorry for everything that you had done, we kissed"

"Kiss? come'onCastle that was not a kiss, we shut the front door using our bodies, that was so not a kiss"

Castle looked at her and smiled

"okay make out session, What I'm trying to say here is.."

Castle walked in front of Beckett and got down on his one knee, he pulled out a jewellery box from his right jacket pocket "Katherine Houghton Beckett, will you marry me?"

Beckett took a moment to answer, she stood there eyes locked to Castle, hands covering her mouth, she was surprised, after a moment or two she responded "..Always"

Castle put the shiny ring on Becketts finger not to fast but slowly enough for both of them to take in the moment, Castle picked up Beckett from the ground and kissed her.

The rainstorm began.
