I awoke in a patch of tall grass by the sound of a cow mooing in the distance. Everything here was made out of blocks. I had no idea what this place was, or how I got here. The first thing I thought of was to look for others. I looked around but saw nothing but trees and grassy hills. A pig then came up to me and oinked. This was a nice comic relief to my stressful situation. I began to walk forward hopeful to find a village or some sort of shelter.
The minutes of walked turned into hours with no success. As the Sun was starting to meet with the horizon, I decided it would be smart to build a small place to stay for the night. I found a hill and started punching the dirt blocks away. Slowly I was finishing a small shelter in the side of the hill. With the last of the Sun's light fading away, I went into my shelter and placed a dirt block at the bottom of the entrance, leaving an opening for me to see out of.
It was completely dark, nothing like in the city I am from. You couldn't see a thing. Total fear overtook my body when I heard something outside hissing. Then whatever it was blew up, sending me flying through the air and hurting me. My shelter was ruined and I heard other noises that were getting closer. I had no choice but to run away. My lack of vision made it much more challenging as I tried to navigate over the hilly terrain.
Suddenly light started to shine from above a mountain far away. The Sun was finally coming back up. This gave me an opportunity to see who was hunting me. I almost froze when I saw three zombies walking towards me. But then they started to burn as the Sun came up more. I was relieved but still scared, I might be the only person in this empty world.
The Sun was almost directly above me so I decided that now would be the best time to begin building a shelter for the upcoming nights. I obtained some dirt and placed then in a ten by ten square building. For the window I left a single block space open. I knew I would need some tools and light. Luckily, in my backpack there happened to be a book showing me how to make different things. I went outside and punched a tree for its wood. With that wood, I make two torches to light the inside of my shelter. I also made a workbench for my crafting needs. The Sun was getting closer to setting so I went into my shelter and make a wooden pick, a wooden ax, and a wooden shovel. I was ready for my second night of survival. Then I saw the red, evil eye's of a giant spider looking directly at me. Maybe I wasn't as prepared as I thought I was.
