Walter's reaction when he is told that Olivia was still on the other side.
Inside the lab, his sanctuary, he finds Olivia's scarf draped over a chair back. She must have left it here one day. He picks it up and holds it close. He can still smell her scent. He felt like crying.
He always regarded her like a daughter, not because he had known her as that little Olive. He recalled all the times; she had called his name with affection. They've had their ups and downs, but Olivia was always there to console him.
She was a prisoner now. He doesn't have to imagine what it's like to be locked up. More than anything, he desperately wants to become her protector, to shield her from all the bad things that scare her.
"I was so worried about losing my son; I never realize that Olivia would come into any harm. If anything were to happen to her, I only have myself to blame.
I have had enough of this feeling sorry for myself. If we are to bring Olivia back, I have work to do.
Astro, bring me the Cortexiphan."
