GAME OVER
Walking down the hall slowly, it seems as if time was going by in seconds. Beams of light hit me and I winced. Inside this block of concrete darkness was something I'm accustom to. The sound of chains rattling as they touch was the only sound I could hear besides the footsteps that seem invisible. I smiled as I reminisce. Blood. Screams. The smell of the decay. Its times like this where memories are the only comfort. Not that I'm afraid. After all today is my execution day.
With each step I was closer to the light, closer to hell. I looked up the stairs, gazing at the open doors. Slowly I took my first step, anticipation was filling my whole body. The day where I lost the game I've been playing. Right leg, left leg, right leg, left leg…Descending higher.
Now I'm face to face with the light. The air of the outside world was so different. I took one step. A rushed feeling came across me. I took another step. With a grin on my face I started making noises with my chains. Another step. The two bodyguards behind me looked nervous, he. So close to the light, yet so close to hell…one more step.
"Akira Tsumi."
I halted, signed. Looking up at the sky that was barely visible, I broke into a fit of laughter.
Today was my execution day.
