If only the galaxy could see her now. A rare glimpse into the human side of the Captain of the Normandy, Savior of the Citadel, inspiration to fighting troops back home on Earth holding the line. The last hope of the galaxy to stop the Reaper threat, and the instigator of peace between aliens.
The love of my life.
She never ceased to amaze me.
The said Savior of the Citadel triggered the power windows of the skycar to wind down and stuck her head out the vehicle. "What are you waiting for, your favourite colour?" she yelled at the stationary car before her, its unfortunate driver not paying enough attention to notice the traffic lights had signaled him to go. "There's only three, dickhead!"
Shepard sat back in her seat and flashed me a wicked grin before flooring the skycar. Behind me, I heard Garrus moan as his face connected with the back of my seat, and he began swearing when the rough skin of his mandible caught on the upholstery. I turned and smiled weakly at the disgruntled Turian as best as I could, holding onto the skycar dashboard before me for support. He slowly unhooked threads from his jaw and rolled his eyes in a meh gesture. Shepard, seemingly intent on driving us all head-first into a Citadel ward arm at high velocity, failed to notice.
Yep. That's my Aurora Shepard.
If only the galaxy could see her now, in the light that I see her. They'd realize that she too is vulnerable to the trials and tribulations of life, just like them. They'd realize she's not the indestructible human she's been portrayed to be, but rather a woman who really shouldn't be allowed to pilot anything with an engine.
