Disclaimer:I own nothing! I mean it!
Summary:Maybe we weren't meant to be together in this lifetime. Maybe if we had a second chance in the future… Maybe.
A/N:I'm not following any storyline by the way. I'm just tweaking everything to fit this evil scheme – er, I mean, this plotline of mine :D Teaser for a crossover fic! Do watch out for it ;)
The land was completely destroyed during the war.
Many places were already deemed uninhabitable since the soil in the area had lost all its nutrients, its ability to support anymore life.
But six pieces of land was left.
Just those six pieces of land.
A treaty was signed by the government officials who were still alive. They had split themselves into six groups, each managing one of the remaining land, forming the Reconstruction Council.
Six city states were built.
Six city states were designed to bring safety and security to its people.
Six city states were meant to be utopias, so as to reflect on themselves and not be engaged in another war again.
For them to be happy, so that sadness and desperation would not cloud one's decision-making.
Six utopias were to be made.
Ever since at the tender age of 2, Shion was smart.
No, the term 'genius' was better suited to describe him.
At the tender age of 2, he was already deemed able to make proper decisions and showed intellectual abilities. That was why he was classified as an elite and was able to enjoy the privileges of one. Together with his mother, they moved to Chronos and enjoyed about ten years of luxury.
But ever since at the age of 2, Shion had felt some sort of emptiness in his heart. It was as if there was something missing in his life.
Something important.
Something like an unfulfilled promise he had to carry out.
But with whom?
To say he was bored with his life, would be an understatement.
Everything was so dull and monochrome that he would always long for something different to happen and his wish did come true.
On the night of his twelfth birthday, a warning for a typhoon was issued. Needless to say, Shion was ecstatic.
The highlight of that night, however, happened to be a certain dark haired intruder, completely soaked in the rain. His hair sticking onto his face and his arm was clutching onto his other arm, which happened to be bleeding profusely.
The boy was maybe about the same age as him, or older, judging by his facial features, even though he seemed to be smaller and shorter built then Shion himself.
And for some reason, when the boy was with him the entire night, Shion felt as though the void in his heart was filled for the very first time, ever since it made itself known, ten years ago.
Oddly enough, the feeling of emptiness was back again when he woke up, realising that the boy from the previous night, who called himself Nezumi, had left while he was still asleep.
The two boys didn't know that that meeting was predestined.
It wasn't just some random chance event that occurred.
No.
Everything happens for a reason, and this was no exception.
Their promise to each other will be fulfilled.
Fates intertwined yet again, but they were far apart from each other.
Another four years later, when they reunite, their relationship would change.
A whole new meaning would come into play.
Four years later.
A/N: I know it's kind of weird. But it's all for a teaser for a crossover fic I'm working on. So do watch out for that. Hopefully the story turns out more coherently /laughs.
