Rita goes shopping

Disclaimer: I do not own Power Rangers, at all, not even a little bit.

Summary: (One shot) As the title says: Rita goes shopping – sort of.

(This is a bit of fun, I love Power Rangers really. I wrote this one random day when it was raining and I was quite bored. Rita always wore the same outfit, how come she never had any other dresses?)

Rita Repulsa, aside from making the Power Rangers lives hell and trying to take over the world did not have many other outside interests. At school her teachers had tried to get her to do something, play sports, join the science club, chess club, be a cheerleader, but Rita had done none of these things. She tried playing sports but when she lost burnt the sports hall down and torched the playing fields. She tried the science club but when the science geeks wouldn't let her join she burnt the laboratory down. Rita tried to play chess but found that involved thinking quite hard, something she was not disposed to do. She tried cheerleading, but was not on the whole a very cheery person and did not understand why anyone would want to balance on top of a pyramid for very long. Also once the sports hall and playing fields had gone there were not many teams to cheer for.

On this particular day, the Power Rangers had once more foiled her brilliantly laid plans to take over the world, or at least Angel Grove and Rita was not happy. In fact she was decidedly unhappy. She needed cheering up. Looking down on Angel Grove she wondered what the girls down on Earth did when they felt depressed.

Trini and Kimberly had just left Ernie's juice bar and were headed towards the mall.

"So did you get that cool dress we saw in the store window last time?" Trini asked her friend.

"No. That's why we're going to the mall today. I got my allowance and there is a pink dress with my name on it just waiting to be bought. Can't you hear it calling me?" Kim cried and raced ahead of her friend towards her favourite clothes shop.

Rita stood watching them intently. Maybe she should try a little shopping trip. She may have been mortal enemies with Kimberly and Trini, but they might be onto something with this whole shopping thing.

Gathering up some conveniently placed money; she rode a conveniently placed taxi to the local moon mall and set about finding herself a new dress, preferably one without a blue- ish ruff around her neck.

Unfortunately when she arrived at the moon mall, the shops were just shutting and Rita had to go home disappointed. She let out an unhappy cry and trudged all the way home.
